Excellent experience. First time in Charlottesville and at Roots Natural Kitchen. We walked over to the catering/take out location where a very considerate team member had her husband walk us to this location where he works so we could sit down. We were looking for fresh, healthy food. Everything was delicious and well made!! Great service and great quick service food!!

I have had the food from here many times and it is always great. There are a lot of options, both for the rice bowls and the salads. The employees are nice and the wait has never been long. It costs a small amount more than other restaraunts like it, but I think the difference is made up for in what you end up getting.

The food was pretty good, although it was hard to tell what flavors might go together best if you try to create your own bowl. Portion sizes were almost too generous, which is probably great for college students on a budget. Was disappointed when I attempted to reheat my leftovers the next day, it really was no good. The roots rice was undercooked as well. Bathroom had no toilet paper.

The food is good, there are plenty of ingredients to put in your salad, and they give a lot, it's just a little pricey. The place is nice and good for what it is. There are some things I wish were different about it but they're personal preferences and are just very different from what the store is geared towards. For what it is roots is great.

Highly suggest roots for getting healthy bowls with quality ingredients. They have a customizable bowls where we can select, salad, veggies, protien and sauce. A specifical shout out to their tofu!
